Seagrass Culture.

Proteinogenic technologies have a role in seagrass culture: WSCHO and low-protease.



Seagrasses, albeit, also known as marine seagrass from underwater sea meadows, are the latest rage amongst scientists wishing to produce a fodder for feedstock that can help feed the planet and that presents sustainability benefits alternatively to grass-fed or grain-fed animals in pasture and feedlot, respectively.


D. A. Flores says, “Do you know that seagrasses present a new fodder concept that is both highly digestible, albeit, the nutrients are highly available, and provide tantalizing substitutes to pasture grown fodders and grain and whose use as such can be further driven with production of this type of biomass for bioenergy fuels generation being much lower in lignin in fibre, or its encrusting fibril cement, making the process more viable economically?”

D. A. Flores is a practitioner and has published in the topic of forage feeding, particularly silage, and a recent book just out on: "Lignocellulose Feedstock and Related Research for Feed, Food and Energy."
